Look Inside Poultry Curriculum Level 3: Flocking Together is the third and most advanced manual in the 4-H poultry project series. It’s designed for youth who already have basic and intermediate poultry knowledge and want to deepen their skills. The curriculum helps learners: Plan and run a poultry judging clinic to evaluate birds and practice decision-making. Manage a flock, including care, organization, and leadership responsibilities. Explore careers in the poultry industry and learn about professional opportunities. Understand poultry processing and safe handling of poultry products as part of the food system. Engage in poultry games and activities that reinforce learning in a fun, interactive way. Discuss values and ethics related to animal care, food production, and responsibility. This level builds on earlier manuals by integrating leadership, industry awareness, and real-world poultry science concepts (including processing) into a structured, hands-on educational experience for youth.
