FLORA SHAWL was made entirely by hand in the town of Laguna Blanca, Catamarca. This is 930 miles from Buenos Aires, the Capital of Argentina. Contains 100% vicuña fiber obtained in 2021 from wild shearing in Calaste (17,800 feet above sea level). The artisan responsible for this garment is FLORA ROSALBA GUTIÉRREZ, the ancestral technique used is called “partridge eye”. It is made on a Creole loom with 4 layers of weave. The making of this garment took approximately 6 months.This garment has fiber traceability and authentication certificate with a unique identification number granted by the Government of Catamarca, Argentina.
