20x24 print on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl 285g/m paper. Part of a series of floral image photographed in a studio environment Floral #055 features the Cymbidium Orchid (Cymbidium) — a resilient and elegant perennial native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Northern Australia. Macro photography and a shallow depth of field draw the viewer into the intricate details of the bloom, specifically the bold burgundy speckles on the pale, ruffled lip. Soft, diffused lighting emphasizes the waxy texture and subtle lime-green to blush-pink gradients of the petals, creating a lush, immersive study of the plant’s sophisticated organic symmetry.
