20x24 print on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl 285g/m paper. Part of a series of floral image photographed in a studio environment Floral #064 features the Casa Blanca Oriental Lily (Lilium Casa Blanca) — a fragrant perennial with origins tracing back to Japan and Korea, celebrated for its large, luminous white blooms. Close-up photography and a shallow depth of field draw the viewer into the intricate details of the flower: the delicate papillae on the petals, the bold pollen-heavy anthers, and the graceful arc of the stem. Shot against a deep purple background, the luminous white petals emerge with dramatic, almost theatrical contrast. This image is conceived as a meditation on the cycle of life — the upper left corner representing birth, the full bloom the prime of life, and the lower right, death.
