Introduced in 1961, the table desk is an elegant, oval table suitable for use in dining rooms and offices. The iconic design by Florence Knoll is available in two sizes and in a wide range of finishes.///DescriptionThe design re-imagined the traditional layout of offices at the time, which featured a large, imposing desk placed at an angle to the walls. The Knoll oval table offered the same generous desktop area, yet introduced a more versatile shape and inviting presence. The simplicity of the modern desk was influenced by the work of Mies van der Rohe, with a tapered top and metal pedestal base. Each detail was endlessly refined by Florence Knoll to achieve minimal, seemingly effortless beauty. Shown with a top in ebonized oak or Arabescato marble, with a base in polished (gloss) or satin (matt) chrome finish. The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Florence Knoll are stamped into the base of the table. Materials Frame and legs heavy gauge welded steel. Post and four-star legs in polished or satin chrome finish. Adjustable steel glides in chrome finish. Top: Round or oval wood veneer, laminate, frosted glass and marble. Veneer tops are 30mm thick.
