The Canton Six is our own six-species set for anyone who wants a complete planted tank in one order instead of guessing which plants go where. Every layer of the aquascape is covered: a carpet for the front, a rooted midground, a red accent, two background plants and an epiphyte for driftwood or rock. All six are low-tech species. No injected CO2, no high-output lighting, no dosing routine required. They are grown in our own Texas greenhouse, hand inspected, and bagged separately so nothing arrives tangled. The SixSword Plant “Ozelot Red” — one rooted plant. Bronze-red mottled rosette for the back corner.Vietnamese Rotala — one bunch. Fine-textured green stems for background height.Cryptocoryne Beckettii Petchii — one rooted plant. Wavy dark green midground that needs almost nothing.Scarlet Temple — one bunch. The red accent that gives the layout a focal point.Dwarf Hairgrass — one clump. Splits into plugs for a foreground carpet.Java Fern — one rhizome plant. Tie or glue it to wood or rock. Do not bury the rhizome.Plant it in about ten minutes: rinse everything, put the grass in front, the crypt in the middle, the sword and stems at the back, and attach the fern to hardscape. Trim the stem tops every few weeks and replant the cuttings to thicken the group for free.Water: 70-82 F, pH 6.5-7.5, freshwater only. Aquarium, shrimp and snail safe. No pesticides. Live arrival guaranteed.
