Flos Coordinates Ceiling Light is a surface-mounted ceiling fixture from the Coordinates range, designed by Michael Anastassiades. The piece reads as a three-dimensional lattice of intersecting linear rods and is intended to provide diffuse ambient illumination in interior spaces. The design is rigorous and minimalist: slim linear elements intersect to form a geometric grid. The Coordinates system is offered as pared‑down standard chandeliers and is also designed to be repeated to create larger custom grids for bigger spaces.Construction is exacting and material-led. Each linear element is formed from extruded aluminium with a champagne-coloured anodised finish and finished with a platinum optical silicone diffuser along its length. Mechanical and electrical joints are discreet, keeping wiring hidden and preserving the clean geometry.Integrated LED strips are housed within each rod and emit a soft, diffuse light from the diffusers, creating an even ambient field. The specification includes high colour rendering (CRI 95) to ensure good colour clarity in interiors while maintaining a slim visual profile for each element.Installation is surface-mounted via a small cylindrical ceiling rose that provides mechanical support and houses the electronics. The rose supports multiple dimming systems (Push, 1–10V and DALI); a push dimming option is included to set the light if alternative controls are not used. A CL III version is available for installations requiring a remote power supply. The product is rated IP20 and supplied with integrated light sources. At Lighting Design Online we treat Coordinates as a considered architectural solution: it delivers measured ambient light while offering clear specification choices for dimming, power and layout. We provide practical guidance on configuring standard or repeated grids and on integrating the product into a layered lighting scheme, giving confidence that the finished interior will feel balanced and resolved.
