Thursdays from 9:30-10:30am At Desert Skies Methodist Church (3255 N Houghton Rd) Class is led by Katie Samp, an RYT200 Certified Yoga Instructor, Prenatal/Postpartum Yoga Certified. - - - - - - - - - - - - Flow Like a Mother is here to help you find your center, develop your yoga practice alongside your little one, quiet the internal and external noise of motherhood, and reestablish better length/tension relationships with the muscles and fascia that are shifted during pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. In class you'll move through gentle, slow Hatha-style flows with a foundational focus on your breath and properly engaging (and relaxing!) your core and pelvic floor through your practice. Babies and children are welcome at this class, which means the energy may be a little higher than your usual yoga class. It also offers an opportunity to deepen our present moment awareness and ability to ride the waves of motherhood, surrounded by mothers. All stages of pregnancy and postpartum are welcome, and no prior yoga experience is necessary. Come as you are - options will always be offered to help you drop your Ego and move at a pace that feels supportive for your current body.
