I came up with a socket type design where the table top slide down over the pedestal base. This makes the table easier to carry, transport and ship. As a craftsman I prefer to use as few fasteners as possible. The insets in the table top are flowers from my own yard. I use maple trees for these type of tables since the wood is full of color. If you look closely you can see I made a honey bee to close a crack rather than a butterfly joint. Bees never get enough credit. Show more
