Make sure the plant materials are clean and dry. Then, layer the materials between the lining papers, which will lay between the blotting papers. Next, arrange all the papers between the wooden press boards and secure them using the straps. Make sure to tighten both straps evenly and snugly. Let plant materials dry in the press for a few days or weeks, depending on the thickness of the plant materials. The sponge can be used in layers with thicker plant material to create more space and absorb extra moisture. If you press thicker plant materials, check your press periodically to ensure the materials are drying correctly. Enjoy and happy pressing!
