Flowerful Workshops: It is a real pleasure for us to offer a series of seasonal workshops set in the surroundings of Moss & Moor in Ilkley. Join us this May for the first morning of expression and creation through flowers. As communication and care professionals by background, we invite you to wonder with us… if flowers could talk, what might they say? Led by Olivia Kenyon, founder of Kin, and Emma James, artist, these sessions bring together our shared professional therapeutic backgrounds alongside our creative work. Our approach is shaped by an understanding of compassion, self care and the role of attention in wellbeing. Each workshop takes inspiration from the changing garden and offers an uplifting, supportive space to create in. For our May session, we will focus on seasonal flowers, offering a gentle and thoughtful morning where you are warmly welcomed, whether coming alone or with friends or family, to spend time noticing and working with natural materials. Olivia will guide moments of ‘soft fascination’, sharing the wonder of garden growing as we create with flowers, while Emma will encourage a playful, experimental approach to acrylic painting on canvas inspired by nature. You will be supported to create your own artwork to take home, along with a seasonal mini garden. No experience in gardening or painting is needed. You can expect a relaxed morning, with a warm drink and something homemade to enjoy alongside the session. This is one of four seasonal workshops taking place across the year, with further sessions in July, September and November, each with a slightly different seasonal focus.
