Let this watering can full of flowers bring spring into your home. I pieced the background and inserted an improvised strip in the grass to add interest. Collage and rough edge appliqué techniques were used on the flowers, watering can, and sky. Extensive quilting add dimension and provide additional visual interest. A two toned binding finishes off the quilt. Flowering Can measures 28" x 30" and was the inspiration for a pattern of the same name available in SWJ Originals. Sweet Waddy Jane Originals design. Measures 28" x 30" 100% cotton fabric and 80/20 poly/cotton batting was used in the construction of this quilt. Art quilts are not intended to be washed. This quilt does NOT have a quilt sleeve.* *A quilt sleeve is often hand sewn on to the top of the back of a wall quilt. A rod is inserted into the sleeve and evenly distributes the weight of the quilt as it hangs. Not all my quilts have sleeves as some folks like to hang their quilts differently. If you would like me to add a sleeve on to a wall hanging, you need to order one and allow for 1 - 2 additional weeks for delivery.
