Ann Lund Wahlberg has lived with spastic paralysis since birth and has used her mouth for everyday tasks from an early age — including painting. She began exhibiting in 1996, joine d the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists in 1998, and now serves on the Association's board. Working across watercolour, acrylic, charcoal and crayon, she has developed a style that is at once distinctive and deeply expressive, spanning florals, people, landscapes and abstract work rich in symbolism. Her Flowers painting captures exactly that quality — loose washes of pink, red and purple blooms that feel both spontaneous and considered, the kind of image that brightens whatever surface it lands on.
