Why the full 7 days matters Worms have roughly a 7-day life cycle. Eggs already inside your hens keep hatching throughout the week, so a single dose can't catch them all — it only kills the worms present on that day. The goal is to keep medication in the bird every day from day 1 through to day 7. That way, as each new worm hatches, the medication is already there to kill it before it can grow and lay more eggs. Don't skip days or stop early — even if your hens look better. Miss a day and the next wave of hatching worms survives and re-infects the flock. How to Dose Check your feed ration per hen — usually 125g per day. Multiply by number of hens × 7 days to get your total feed ration. Multiply number of hens by 0.67g to get your total Flubenol amount. Mix evenly into the feed. Feed for 7 days, then return to normal feed. Best Practices Clean: Housing and feeders; dispose of droppings regularly. Disinfect: Use Poultry Safeguard or similar product. Treat all: Treat the entire flock at the same time.
