This is classic Berbes Mining District Fluorite with many really excellent features in its favour. Exceptionally glassy smooth cubic crystals of the richest deep purple colour are intergrown in this fine miniature-sized aggregate. Two small patches of bladed white Baryte are seen on the rear, providing assurance to its Berbes roots. Of the Fluorite crystals, the largest reaches 2.5 cm on edge and most show a much darker purple internal zone at their core. The crystal edges are extremely sharp and the central crystals are free from damage, with slight chipping to a few corners around the edges of the specimen, but generally this is in top class order.
