You will notice several sets of "eyes" gazing back at you across this specimen - The cover image was taken with gentle backlighting, there is very little matrix on the back so it lights up very well with a strong backlight. I purchased this specimen from Collectors Edge, in 2011 CE purchased the Uli Bahmann collection alongside Wendel Minerals. This specimen pre-dates the 2020 “Alien Eye” discovery but was not labeled as specifically being from the 2007 “Alien Eye” pocket so I have no way of knowing if it was part of that find - But, I do know for certain it’s from that original find era and because of Uli’s prominence in the area it’s likely from the original area and time frame.
