Well developed essentially gemmy colourless crystals of Fluorite measuring to 1.9cm on edge, are formed on a long specimen with crystals of Calcite. The specimen is from the Height s Mine, Weardale. Crystals showing extensive interpenatrant twinning, some have a faint purple colour band. Associated crystals of nailhead Calcite measuring to 1.2cm, many are double terminated.
