Grade 2.5 Soaring tunes in a big cinematic style. Great melodies and counter melodies throughout three contrasting sections. Another great choice for Festival performances and a fa vourite piece of some of Sydney's school band directors. Selected as a test piece for the North Shore Primary Schools Band Festival 2012. This was the first piece I wrote for band back in 1998. Originally it was custom designed for the group I had at Castle Cove Public School that year. They really enjoyed playing it. It also had some great feedback from adjudicators who I think appreciated a young guy having a go at writing a piece. "You should look into getting this published, others might want to play it", said a former service band director adjudicating at the Warringah Eisteddfod.
