Flying Island’s Another Kind of Space straddles instrumental prog and jazz-fusion, pairing shreddy guit ar, Pontyesque violin and organ in tightly written charts that nod to Kansas, Curved Air and Return to Forever while sneaking in a Zappa-lifted riff or two.
