The flywheel assembly (ERR719G) is a precision-balanced rotating mass bolted to the rear of the crankshaft, providing inertia to smooth power delivery between combustion strokes and serving as the engagement surface for the clutch friction disc. On the 200Tdi and 300Tdi diesel engines, a worn or cracked flywheel typically presents as clutch judder, difficulty selecting gears, or visible scoring and heat discolouration on the friction face. Fitting a correctly specified replacement restores proper clutch engagement geometry and prevents premature clutch plate wear. Key Features Manufactured to OEM specification for the 200Tdi and 300Tdi diesel engines Includes the ring gear, supplied as a complete assembly ready for fitment Direct replacement for the original unit - no machining or modification required When fitting, inspect and replace the rear crankshaft oil seal and clutch assembly as a matter of course, as access requires gearbox removal Vehicle Fitment Fits Defender (1986–2006), Discovery 1 (1989–1998), and Range Rover Classic, all fitted with the 200Tdi or 300Tdi diesel engine.
