FN creasing tips are most commonly used to create a gentle crease, while rounding over the sharp edges on leather. The strongest advantage FNR tips have over FN tips is that FNR tips allows you to crease the insides of gussets, and also navigate around rounded corners. However, FNR tips, being rounded, have a lower contact surface area with the leather, reducing the amount of control you have on them, and they wouldn't be the best option for creasing straight flat edges. Also note that the FNR3 tips profile is slightly flatter than the FNC3 and FN3, this is for good reasons, the flatter profile will allow it to handle curves on bags better. We partnered with a few talented machinist in 2021 to design these Electric Creaser tips, tuning the groove profile to deliver precisely what we are looking for, while taking heavy inspiration from Regad.
