100 OD 6 - T Outdoor speaker An outdoor version of the 100-T Series, the 100 OD6-T is designed for outdoor spaces. It incorporates a transformer that adapts its power to a 70/100 v olt installation, enabling the speakers to be linked together to cover a vast listening area with precise, powerful sound. With its 8-ohm capability, it's the perfect solution for conventional installations. FOCAL SOUND Its aluminum inverted dome tweeter and bass/midrange driver with waterproof Polypropylene cone and 16.5 cm Polyglass treatment ensure excellent sound dispersion and Focal-quality sound outdoors. CERTIFIED RESISTANCE Featuring a high-density damping cabinet and anti-UV treatment, the 100 0D6-T is certified IP66, an international standard attesting to the product's soundproofing and resistance in outdoor environments. 100 SERIES, THE SOUND OF WIDE OPEN SPACES EASY INSTALLATION Thanks to its mounting bracket and 180-degree rotation system, installation and positioning are simplified. For perfect integration, the grille and cabinet are available in black or white, ready for painting. TECHNOLOGIES INVERTED DOME TWEETER Optimum space dispersion The inverted dome tweeter has been a Focal signature since 1981, offering the property of being a true micro-speaker. The curvature of the dome is much less pronounced than that of positive domes. This results in better space dispersion and very low directionality, unlike ribbon tweeters. The inverted dome tweeter therefore generates unrivalled dynamics, enabling sound engineers to precisely control the dosage of compression. The precision of the image (height, width and depth) is remarkable, making it easy to position each instrument. What's more, a waveguide has been developed to perfect spatialization and further enhance the inverted dome's very low directionality. In the horizontal plane, the frequency response is within +/- 0.5 dB. This performance guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage. POLYGLASS MEMBRANE Well-defined mids The diaphragm, the key component of a loudspeaker, is at the heart of our acoustic engineers' research. Polyglass technology, exclusive to Focal, consists of applying fine glass microbeads to a cellulose pulp cone. This process reconciles the excellent damping of paper with the rigidity of glass. The stiffness index is almost 10 times that of polypropylene. Adjusting the mass-rigidity-damping ratio results in a remarkably linear frequency response curve, right from the membrane design stage. This innovation also significantly increases definition in the midrange register.
