The Focusrite RedNet AM2 is a compact stereo monitoring unit for Dante audio-over-IP networks, combining a high-output headphone amplifier with balanced line outputs. It receives two channels from any Dante network and converts them to analogue with 120dB dynamic range on the line outputs and 118dB on the headphone output. Headphone Amplifier The headphone amplifier drives headphones from 32 to Ω at high levels, making the AM2 suitable for loud stage environments as well as quiet studio monitoring. Independent volume knobs for headphones and line output, plus a line output mute switch, provide straightforward control. An integrated Gigabit Ethernet switch on the second network port allows daisy-chaining of additional Dante devices. Mounting and Power The aluminium enclosure includes non-slip feet for desktop use and a threaded bush on the base for mounting on a standard microphone stand. Power can be supplied via PoE (IEEE 802.3af) on the primary network port or the included 12V DC power supply. Connectivity 1 x 1/4" TRS stereo headphone output (front panel) 2 x male XLR balanced line outputs (rear panel) 2 x RJ45 Ethernet ports (Port 1 supports PoE) 1 x 12V DC barrel input Specifications Line output dynamic range: 120dB (A-weighted) Headphone dynamic range: 118dB (A-weighted) THD+N: less than -100dB Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz, +/-0.5dB Line output reference levels: +18 or +24dBu (switchable via software) Headphone impedance: 32 to Ω Headphone output impedance: Ω Sample rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96kHz at 24-bit Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12V DC
