This full-bleed digital print is derived from an original mixed media piece by artist Irene Mudd of Guided Hand Studio, consisting of fabric, acrylic paint, gouache, cut paper, and colored pencil. The radial design references medieval shields, using the motif of an orb weaver spider, a symbol of creativity and interconnectedness. The center symbol is a sigil created by the artist and charged with intentions of creative force and inspiration. 8" x 8" Full bleed digital print of original mixed media artwork finished with holographic foil details. The foil details refract light, creating a dazzling prismatic effect that dances across the surface of the print. By Guided Hand Studio Meet the Artist Irene Mudd of Guided Hand Studio received her BFA in painting and fiber art from the Hite Art Institute in 2017, and currently lives and works in Louisville, Kentucky. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember, always in a variety of different mediums, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, collage/cut paper, textiles, embroidery and knitting. Guided Hand Studio functions as the illustration and product design “arm” of Irene's artistic practice, but she maintains a fine art studio practice as well. Her current work deals with the connection between folklore, women’s histories and craft, as well as the relationship between art and magic.
