This brass brooch has a beautiful irregular surface born from firing the brass to the point where the copper and zinc (the elements of brass) have started to separate. It resembles a tree branch, or maybe some sort of a bow or musical instrument built out of tree branches. Silver chain adds it's own charm to the whole. It is definitely not a conventional piece of jewellery. The overall impression of the fired brass is golden, hence the name Fool's Gold. They say we shouldn't mix metals in jewelry.
