A hand painted study of dahlias and zinnias, celebrating the rich colours and fleeting beauty of late summer. Layers of deep burgundy, raspberry pink, soft peach and crimson captur e the flowers in full bloom, with the painted frame allowing the composition to spill beyond the traditional edges of the artwork. Painted in oils on a wooden panel, the artwork is presented in a solid wood bevelled frame, hand painted to become part of the composition itself.
