Ford Excursion, 2000–2005, also known as the Excursion or “Ex,” is Ford Motor Company’s heavy-duty, full-size SUV built on the Super Duty truck platform. Designed for family transp ort, off-road use, and serious towing, it offered V8, V10, and Power Stroke diesel engines, four-wheel drive, three-row seating, and substantial cargo capacity. Its body-on-frame construction, high ground clearance, and truck-based chassis distinguished it from conventional SUVs. Produced for one generation, the Excursion became notable for its exceptional size, towing capability, and positioning above the Ford Expedition.
