Replace flattened, cut or hardened O-rings when fork oil seeps around the cap or the fork is apart for service. Lightly lubricate the O-ring so it seats without twisting as the cap is tightened. Do not stretch or pinch the O-ring during assembly; damaged rubber will leak even when the part is tight.
