This is a replica of a late 17th-century hunting Sgian Dubh, with sheath and black handle. This is a small, single-edged knife worn as part of traditional Scottish Highland dress a long with the kilt. Originally used for eating, hunting, preparing fruit, meat and cutting bread and cheese as well as other day to day general uses too.
