Based on the traditional spirit nocino, BLACK is singularly focused on this sole botanical and requires eighteen months to fully develop its depth of flavor—after a nine-month spirit maceration, the walnuts are strained and the spirit sweetened before a nine-month resting period in stainless steel and glass demijohns that are placed near the windows of the distillery to sun-mature, adding extra layers of nutty complexity.
