For this illustrator. an expert in cleverly arranged designs, each visit unearths the objects that will appear on her next scarf. This time her eye has fallen on a travelling salesman's catalogue from the beginning of the 19th century, presenting hunting and coachmen's whips, switches and other pieces from the collection. Her imagination completes the ensemble: here are plaited leather straps and sculpted pieces in wood and ivory. The diagonal of whip handles strictly lined up and embellished with globes and dogs or horses' heads contrasts with the supple, sinewy network of looped and intertwined leather straps.
