Radical transformation of agriculture means a radically different approach to driving change. We want to change the days of debt laden farms struggling to survive on short term decision making, with the only means of surviving being selling the land off to developers. That's why we are asking for community support in creating the future of food. The Farm on Washington is building an urban community 30 acre permaculture orchard focused on regenerative agriculture u-pick, perennial systems, outreach and education. We've invested over $1.2M so far to purchase the land, establish perimeter fencing, irrigation, paddocks, and plant a 1 acre "test plot" with nearly 100 varieties of organic fruits, nuts, and berries. Now, we want to begin planting out the rest of the farm! By supporting our cause you are directly contributing to putting a new food model on display to bring the freshest regenerative organic foods direct to consumers in the ultimate transparent environment. Your support will go directly to farm development in the following areas: Sourcing and planting regenerative organic fruit trees, nut trees, and berries. Paddock fencing for holistic management and mob grazing. Irrigation equipment. As an active supporter you will also be listed on our Founding Supporter Wall. Our pledge: none of your contributions go toward "admin fees" or "management" - every dollar goes to regenerating land. If this sounds like a food future you believe in, we invite you to consider supporting our efforts at The Farm on Washington!
