A decorative wall mirror is a functional reflective surface designed with an artistic frame or shape that serves as both a practical grooming tool and a statement piece of wall decor. Unlike plain mirrors, decorative wall mirrors use materials such as aluminum, wood, or brass and incorporate design elements like arched profiles, textured frames, or geometric forms to enhance interior aesthetics while reflecting light and expanding perceived room dimensions. What You Get With the Moe's Home Foundry Large Black Mirror Artistically Warped Frame -- the aluminum frame features intentional Wabi-Sabi curves that add sculptural dimension and break away from traditional flat mirror profiles. 36.5-Inch Round Glass Surface -- the circular glass mirror provides ample reflective area for full-length views or spatial expansion in entryways and bedrooms. Lightweight Aluminum Construction -- at 26.4 pounds, the aluminum frame and MDF backing balance durability with easier wall-mounting compared to solid wood or iron alternatives. Ready-to-Hang Design -- no assembly is required, so you can mount the mirror immediately using appropriate wall anchors for its weight. Black Finish -- the dark frame grounds the piece visually and coordinates with modern, industrial, and contemporary interiors. Where Should You Place a Round Wall Mirror? Hang the Foundry mirror above a console table in an entryway to check your appearance before leaving and double ambient light from nearby windows. In living rooms, position it opposite a light source or above a sofa to reflect natural light and create depth; browse our full decorative wall mirror collection for complementary pieces. The round shape also works beautifully in bedrooms above dressers or as part of a wall decor art gallery. Frequently Asked Questions What size wall mirror should I hang above a sofa? Choose a mirror that spans two-thirds to three-quarters of the sofa width; the Foundry's 36.5-inch diameter works well above 48- to 60-inch sofas. How high should you hang a wall mirror? Position the mirror center at 57 to 60 inches from the floor (standard eye level) or 4 to 8 inches above furniture if mounted over a console or dresser. How do I choose the right size wall mirror for a room? Scale the mirror to the wall and surrounding furniture: large mirrors (30 inches or more) anchor entryways and living rooms, while smaller mirrors suit powder rooms and narrow hallways. Where should you place a mirror in a living room? Place mirrors opposite windows to reflect natural light, above mantels to draw the eye upward, or behind seating areas to visually expand the space. Can a wall mirror make a small room look bigger? Yes, mirrors reflect light and views, creating the illusion of added depth and square footage in compact rooms. How is the Foundry mirror shipped, and is assembly required? The mirror ships fully assembled with free shipping to the continental USA and requires only wall-mounting hardware appropriate for 26.4 pounds.
