Four Roses is a distillery for those who really want to get geeky about the Bourbon making process. Four Roses combines barrels from two different mashbills (a more rye forward mas hbill, and a fruitier mashbill) with 5 different yeast strains, to produce 10 different recipes.Four Roses Small Batch Select combines barrels from recipes 1,2 and 5 (less rye heavy, more fruity) with barrels from recipes 6,7 and 10 (more chocolatey and spicy).Aged for between 6 and 7 years, bottled at 52%, unchillfiltered.
