In 1938, Four Daughters packed movie palaces, making a star out of John Garfield and winning hearts with its appealing depiction of the Lemps, a family that shares an unshakeable b ond between parent and child, sister and sister. In 1939 the Lemps were back (Garfield's character, who died in the earlier film, makes a ghostly appearance) for another tender drama of everyday life. This time, all the sisters wed -- even widowed Ann finds marital happiness -- and joyfully prepare for the tears and laughter of motherhood. Returning Four Daughters talent includes the original cast, director Michael Curtiz, scripter Julius J.
