Please note: Since each peel is made from natural lumber, each will be unique. Coat the surface of the peel liberally with natural bread crumbs or cornmeal to prevent dough from sticking. Solid maple peels should only be lightly washed with water and never soaked or run through the dishwasher. Maintain your peel with a coat of mineral oil every now and then when the surface is looking dull. An extra rich patina can be developed by applying oil with 320 grit or finer sandpaper or extra fine steel wool. Custom engraving adds 3-5 days to shipping. Engraving orders are specified via email and include approval of up to two digital proofs. Engraving requires either text or an SVG or AI file. The maximum engraving area is 3" x 1.5".
