The Performance Series Float DPS is a lightweight air shock suitable for XC and Trail bikes. It features a lightweight chassis, EVOL air spring and dual-piston damper. The damper provides you with 3 firmness settings (Open, Medium, and Firm) which can be switched on the fly. This will allow you to make quick adjustments to suit the terrain you are riding, keeping things efficient on the climbs so you'll be fresher on the descents.The Performance series has fewer adjustments than the Factory model and is without the extra Open mode tuning range. It also has a black anodized air sleeve and stanchion in place of Kashima coating.Who is this for: The DPS shock is best suited for Cross Country and Trail bikes and balanced riding where there is as much focus on going up as there is coming down. Spring type: This shock uses the EVOL air spring which uses a larger negative air volume to create a linear spring curve that delivers plushness off the top, extra mid-stroke support and a more tunable bottom out.Compression damper adjustments: The damper offers a 3 position lever to allow you to switch between Open, Medium, and Firm modes to suit the trail conditions. Open mode is best for descending, Medium for undulating trails and Firm is for long, drawn-out climbing on paved surfaces and fire trails, or when you feel like standing up to mash on the pedals.Rebound damper adjustments: The rebound circuit allows for the low-speed rebound to be adjusted.Volume adjustment: The DPS shock allows for the mid-stroke support and bottom-out resistance to be tuned via the installation of air volume spacers.To determine which length shock you need, please view your frame's manual.
