Resting in the late afternoon light at the edge of the forest in central British Columbia, this Red Fox was a beautiful sight to see. By carefully positioning myself, I was able to frame the fox against a background in the dark shade of the adjacent forest. The result was a studio-like black background effect, putting all the spotlight on the beautiful animal. Using side-light from the sun was important to accentuate the depth and details in the fox's fur and face. Show more
