Guardian dish hand built using dark brown grogged stoneware clay. A small hand sculpted guardian rests in the centre. Decorative slip and clear glaze have been poured onto the dish while leaving the remaining portion unglazed and raw to show off the beautiful dark clay. A little divot has been made in the guardian to hold onto dried sprigs or incense sticks. Strokes of 22k gold accent the piece and the little cracks to accentuate and beautify imperfection.
