Palm tree- Foxtail (Wodyetia bifurcata) This neat, self-cleaning palm has a a grey trunk with compact feathery fluffy fronds (hence the name foxtail). It is native to North QLD's Cape York and suited to that tropical/ subtropical climate. Fast growth rate and is drought & frost tolerant once established. Fun fact: bifurcata is Latin for “twice divided,” in reference to the shape of both the fruit and the fish-tailed leaflets.
