TOM'S PICK: "Tracing the influences of Luther Dickinson (North MS Allstars) led me to R.L. Burnside and this record in particular. This album was my first foray into the darker, ra unchier side of the blues. Unapologetically unpolished and intentionally crude, R.L.'s writing is raw and steeped in Delta blues tradition. With the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion as the backing band, this record sounds electrified, powerful, and real." 1996 album from delta blues great with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion backing him. Show more
