This painting was originally from my Piles Series of 2015 when I was trying to reconcile with the horribly lazy and messy habits of a then boyfriend by stupidly adjusting my perception of heaps of dirty laundry. I'm obviously bitter about how much I tried to warp my own ideals in order to appease him and placate my pet-peeves. Luckily I cam out with a stellar exploration in sculpting my own still life out of polymer clay. Smooshing the clay into my background medium was really akin to the way I would paint the strokes later on but on canvas, sculpting them with my brush instead of my fingers. The pile of colors sits whimsically assimilating a pile of laundry. Now here's some fluff from the 3rd party printing service. Read it in the voice of a unicorn.
