Born in 1949 in Isiolo County, Francis was the youngest of seven siblings. His childhood was carefree, spent playing football, but as he grew older, life demanded more of him. After completing his studies up to Form 4, he joined the police force in 1970, stepping into what seemed like a stable future. But in 1978, an abrupt dismissal turned his world upside down.Determined to rebuild his life, Francis found solace in faith. He spent four years in Bible school, emerging as a pastor devoted to guiding others. Along the way, he married the love of his life, and together, they raised seven children—six daughters and one son. For years, he preached hope and resilience, but his own trials were far from over.In 2000, he left his pastoral duties and turned to painting to sustain his family. Just as he was settling into his new role, his health began to fail. A kidney condition slowly stripped away his strength, making it harder to provide for his loved ones.One day, while painting at Ibado Plaza, Francis met the founder of Mama Ibado Charity. As he shared his story, a door to relief and support opened. He was enrolled in the Seniors' feeding program, ensuring that he would no longer struggle alone.For the past 8 years, he has received food assistance and weekly medical care, easing the burden of his illness. Though life has tested him in ways he never expected, Francis remains grateful for the kindness that has allowed him to live with dignity.
