3rd Speed Mainshaft Gear - LT95 4-Speed Gearbox This is the 3rd speed driven gear on the mainshaft of the LT95 unit-construction 4-speed gearbox. The LT95 combines the gearbox and transfer case in a single housing and was fitted to V8-powered Land Rovers. The mainshaft 3rd gear meshes with the corresponding layshaft gear to transmit drive in third gear. Wear or damage to this gear - including chipped or worn teeth and worn needle bearing journals - results in gear noise, difficulty engaging 3rd, or jumping out of gear under load. This gear is replaced during a full LT95 gearbox strip and rebuild. Show more
