Manchester's rising indie star Freak Slug returns with her highly anticipated sophomore album 'Amulet'. Following the success of her critically acclaimed debut album I Blow Out Big Candles, Amulet marks an evolution in her sound, leaning into a more raw sonic palette while showcasing her growth as a songwriter and musician. Blending dreamlike grunge, emotional vulnerability and unmistakable Manchester swagger, Amulet finds Freak Slug at her most confident and fully realised yet, cementing her place as one of indie music’s most exciting emerging voices. Freak Slug is the artist project of Xenya Genovese, Manchester-based singer, songwriter and visual artist. With over 75M streams and a critically acclaimed debut album I Blow Out Big Candles in 2024, Freak Slug has grown 42% over the past 12 months, selling out shows in North America and the UK, charting on radio in the UK and US and hitting festivals around the world. Now off the back of her debut Coachella performance in 2026, she embarks on a 6 week tour in support of Irish band NewDad, before launching into the Amulet album campaign. Show more
