Fred’s sculptural process is distinguished by his use of layered casting wax, developed during his years working in a bronze foundry. This technique introduces spontaneity, abstraction, and a sense of fragmentation to the forms, while still conveying anatomical accuracy and emotional depth. His bronzes are cast using the traditional Lost Wax Method, each wax master used only once, and finished with richly marbled patinas in natural tones of grey, green, and brown.
