We have around 100 hens roaming free at our farm, Wildberry. 90% are Cuckoo Marans and 10% Orpingtons. Cuckoo Marans are a French heritage chicken breed famous for their striking b lack-and-white "cuckoo" barred plumage. Their eggs are dark, chocolate-brown and have an excellent taste, highly regarded by chefs! Orpington chickens are large, fluffy and docile.
