A linear-phase multiband low end enhancer. Freedom Base is an audio effect plugin designed to make your low end clearer and more powerful. It does this using intelligent multiband dynamics and saturation that you can dial in quickly—because each band gain-stages itself automatically. The plugin continuously recalculates its threshold and drive settings for each frequency band, based on how you've set the Compression and Saturation dials. It aims to make lower frequencies punchier and easier to hear, without substantially changing your EQ curve or overall loudness. The plugin aims to keep working through loud and quiet parts of your material, without needing to be recalibrated. Despite its beginner-friendly user interface, the device employs sophisticated signal processing. Most filters use a linear-phase topology that helps to align the added harmonics in-phase with existing base frequencies. The saturation circuit uses selective oversampling to reduce aliasing at lower sample rates. And the auto-gain has tested to within the ballpark of ±0.1 integrated LUFS (your mileage may vary).
