Over 2 miles long, Boston's Freedom Trail connects historical sites around the city, stretching from Boston Common downtown to the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown! The trail is marked by distinctive red bricks cut into sidewalks, showing visitors the path through early white American history. I don't consider myself a tourist in this city, but I love walking lengths of the Freedom Trail downtown. It passes burying grounds, pubs, colleges, churches, and the harbor. The Freedom Trail shows the depth of history that lives on Boston's streets, and I had to include that brick red color in the Yarns of the Commonwealth collection.
