This version is cut from a 13 oz yarn-dyed Japanese herringbone cotton in a warm rust brown. Look closely and the weave does most of the work. The shape sits somewhere between a traditional work jacket and an old garage jacket. A full metal zip closes the front, while two large curved patch pockets handle the useful stuff. A zipped welt pocket sits at the chest. Around the back, an action-back construction gives you some extra room to move, and adjustable side cinches with Japanese metal buckles let you tighten the waist if you want a cleaner fit. The fabric has been rinsed, so it already feels good from day one and will only get better with wear.
